San Diego Economy Up in August

October 11, 2016 by travis

“The San Diego economy had a good August, led by a gain in local stock prices and increases in residential building permits, said a monthly study from the University of San Diego. ”

“There was a nearly 5-point increase from the previous month in the Bloomberg San Diego County Index that has 50 local companies, including Illumina, Qualcomm, Sempra Energy and WD-40. ”

‘“There is nothing structurally wrong with the local economy,” the report said, “but the recovery is now starting its seventh year and it would be understandable if employment growth slowed compared to earlier in the recovery.”’
